  • Arm (away)your code
    • Check the green READY light is on. If not, a red zone light shows which zone is open.
    • Key in your 4-digit arming code. A short beep sounds, READY goes off and the red ARMED light comes on.
    • Leave straight away by your usual exit door. If the sounder starts, the exit time is up: quickly key in your code at the keypad, then arm again.
    • Four short beeps mean it can't arm, or the code was wrong. Wait at least 3 seconds before keying it in again.
    • If your installer has turned on easy arming, P/* then 1 also arms. Disarming still needs a code.

  • Arm while homeINTERIORyour codeorINTERIORINSTANTyour code
    • Eagle calls this perimeter protection: outside doors and windows are armed, and you can move about inside.
    • With the READY light on, press INTERIOR, then key in your arming code.
    • The ARMED and INTERIOR lights come on with a short beep. The entry delay still applies unless you also select INSTANT.
    • For no entry delay too, press INTERIOR and INSTANT (either order) before your code. The INSTANT light comes on as well.
    • With INSTANT, the exit delay still runs, but anyone coming back in the entry door sets off the alarm at once. Disarming puts it all back.

  • Disarmyour code
    • Come in by your usual entry door. The sounder runs through the entry delay to remind you.
    • Key in your arming code. The red ARMED light goes off and the green READY light comes on, unless a zone is open.
    • Sounder pulsing and zone lights flashing as you come in? An alarm happened: leave, and call for help from a neighbour's phone.
    • Your code also stops an alarm and silences the bells.
    • Forced to disarm? If your installer has set up an ambush code, use it instead: it sends a silent alarm.

  • Bypass a zoneBYPASSyour codezone
    • Zones 1 to 6 are the wired circuits for your doors, windows and other areas. A zone light that's on means that zone is open.
    • Press BYPASS, key in your arming code, then the zone number. That zone's light starts flashing.
    • More zones within 10 seconds: BYPASS, then the number. After 10 seconds, you need your code again.
    • When READY comes on, arm as usual. The same keys undo a bypass, and disarming puts every bypassed zone back.
    • If your installer has turned on easy forced arming, P/* then 2 bypasses every open zone and arms.

  • Reset smoke detectorsyour code
    • Key in your 4-digit arming code. It resets the smoke detectors, silences the bells and resets the keypad.
    • An open fire circuit shows as a zone light flashing slowly, with the sounder pulsing: a fire trouble.
    • Your code silences the sounder. A trouble signal goes to your monitoring centre: get it repaired straight away.

    • Press both P buttons together for police, both F buttons for fire, or both A buttons for another emergency.
    • They work 24 hours a day, armed or not.
    • Fire always sounds out loud. Police and A (auxiliary) may be silent or loud, as your installer set them.

  • Change a codeCODEmaster codeuser numbernew code
    • Only User 1 (the primary user) can change codes, with the system disarmed. User 5 may be arm-only; an ambush code, if set, is user 6.
    • User 1 comes with a factory code: change it straight away. Your installer can tell you if it's still set.
    • Press CODE, then User 1's code (a short beep means you're in), then the user number (1 to 8) and the new 4-digit code.
    • Check it: arm with the new code, then disarm. A short beep each time means it works. Repeat from CODE for each code.
    • To delete a code (not User 1's): CODE, User 1's code, the user number, then P/*. A short beep confirms it.

Is anyone watching your alarm?

An alarm that only makes a noise relies on someone hearing it. A monitored alarm reports to our A1 graded, NZSA approved control room, watched 24/7 by a team that is New Zealand owned and operated. We can monitor most existing alarms, so you may not need a new one. Thinking about a new alarm or security cameras? Ask us for a quote.
