Keypad cheat sheet
Arm (away)your code
- Close all doors and windows first.
- Key in your four-digit code to full set (arm). The sounder gives a steady or pulsing tone.
- Leave by your exit door. The system sets once the exit time is up.
- An open detector stops it setting: the sounder pulses and that zone's light comes on. Press # to cancel, close it, then try again.
Arm while homeyour code*6oryour code*0
- Home set arms only the part your installer chose, such as downstairs, so you can move about upstairs.
- Key in your code, then * and 6. The tone changes and the lights of the zones left off flash.
- The system is set once the exit time is up.
- Part set (code, * then 0) is like Home set but gives one more entry/exit zone, for when you must pass through two zones, such as to reach upstairs.
Disarmyour code
- When you come in, the sounder gives a steady tone. Go straight to the keypad.
- Key in your code. The sounder stops and the DAY light comes on.
- In the last ten seconds of entry time the tone turns to short, high beeps.
Bypass a zoneyour code*zone
- Each detector or door contact is a zone. The Active 5 calls bypassing isolating, and only zones your installer allows can be isolated.
- Key in your code, then * and the zone number (1 to 5).
- That zone's light flashes and the exit time starts. The rest of the system sets as usual.
- Unsetting cancels every isolation, so isolate again the next time you set.
Alarm memoryyour codethenyour code#
- After an alarm, key in your code. The sounder stops.
- The light of the zone that set the alarm off first stays on. Other zones that tripped flash.
- To reset, key in your code again. A two-tone sound starts: press # and it stops, and the red lights go out.
Chime on or offyour code*95zone
- Chime works only on zones your installer set up as chime zones.
- Key in your code, then *, 9 and 5. The lights of the chime zones come on.
- Press a zone's number to switch its chime on or off, such as 3 for zone 3.
- A chime zone opening gives a short two-tone beep at the panel. Once the system is set, chime zones go back to being alarm or entry/exit zones.
Change a codeyour code*91new code
- The Active 5 has one user code, four digits long.
- Key in your code, then *, 9 and 1. The four right-hand lights come on.
- Key in the new four-digit code. A light goes out with each digit.
- Three high tones: the new code is in use. Two low tones: that code wasn't accepted, so try a different one.
Test the systemyour code*9
- Key in your code, then * and 9.
- Every light comes on for 10 seconds, then the buzzer sounds for 5 seconds.
- Then the outside (satellite) siren and the inside siren sound.

Is anyone watching your alarm?
An alarm that only makes a noise relies on someone hearing it. A monitored alarm reports to our A1 graded, NZSA approved control room, watched 24/7 by a team that is New Zealand owned and operated. We can monitor most existing alarms, so you may not need a new one. Thinking about a new alarm or security cameras? Ask us for a quote.
