Keypad cheat sheet

• Arm (away)your code▲

  • Key in your code, then press ▲ (the key with the key symbol) to arm in full mode. Three short beeps.
  • The partition's green LED blinks through the exit delay, then stays on once armed.
  • Two partitions? Press 1 or 2, then ▲, your code and # (no code, if your installer allows quick arming).
  • Hold ▲ for about 3 seconds, instead of pressing it, to arm with no exit delay: delayed zones then act instantly.
  • One long beep: zones are bypassed, or arming was refused. The display says why, if your code is allowed to see it.

  • VERSA has Day and Night modes: only the zones your installer chose for that mode are armed, so you can stay inside.
  • Key in your code, then press ► (the sun key) for Day mode, or ◄ (the moon key) for Night mode.
  • If your installer hasn't chosen zones for a mode, that mode isn't available.
  • You can change mode without disarming, for example from Night to Full.

• Disarmyour code▼

  • Come in by your entry route. The keypad gives two short beeps every second during the entry delay.
  • Key in your code, then press ▼ (the key with an X). Three short beeps: disarmed, and any alarm cleared.
  • Two partitions? Press 1 or 2, then ▼, your code, and ▼ or #.
  • Keypads with a card reader: bring your card close to the keys and move it away.
  • To clear an alarm without disarming, arm again in the same mode.

• Bypass a zoneyour code*41#

  • VERSA calls this inhibiting: the zone is ignored until its partition is disarmed. The partition must be disarmed now.
  • Key in your code, press * for the user menu, then 4, 1, #.
  • Scroll to the zone with ▼ and ▲. Press any number key to mark it to be inhibited; press again to undo.
  • Press # to finish. The marked zones are inhibited.
  • 4, 2, # isolates a zone instead: it stays bypassed until you unbypass it.

• Alarm memoryyour code*1

  • The partition's red LED shows an alarm, or an alarm memory.
  • After clearing the alarm, key in your code and press *. At 'View cleared zones? 1=Yes', press 1.
  • The zones that set off the alarm are listed. The list is kept only until you view it or arm again.
  • Press * to go back to the user menu, then * again to leave it.
  • For the event log: your code, *, then 5, #. Scroll with ▲ and ▼.

• Chime on or offhold8

  • Chime is five short beeps when a door or window opens while the system is disarmed. Your installer picks the zones.
  • Hold 8 for about 3 seconds.
  • Four short beeps and a long one: chime on. Three short beeps: chime off.
  • Your installer decides whether users can switch it.

  • If your installer allows alarms from the keypad, hold # for about 3 seconds for a panic alarm.
  • Hold * for about 3 seconds for fire, or 0 for a medical alarm.
  • Your installer decides whether the panic alarm is loud or silent.

  • Key in your code, press * for the user menu, then 1, #.
  • Key in the new code, then press #.
  • Three wrong codes may set off an alarm or lock the keypad for 90 seconds.
  • If your code has the right, the user menu also adds users (2, 1, #) and removes them (2, 3, #).

  • Key in your code, press * for the user menu, then 6, 2, #.
  • The current time shows: key in the new time and press #.
  • The date shows next: key in the new date and press #.

• Trouble lightsyour code*7#

  • A blinking yellow LED (the warning triangle) means the system needs your attention, such as a trouble. It's off while armed.
  • Key in your code, press *, then 7, #. Scroll the list with ▼ and ▲.
  • Press * to leave. At 'Clear trouble memory? 1=Yes', press 1 to clear it.
  • A flashing M in the top corner means that trouble has already ended.
