- Close doors and windows. On the Lynx itself the green READY light should be on; press STATUS there to hear what is open.
- Key in your code, then press AWAY.
- The Lynx beeps twice (or all through the exit delay) and says 'armed AWAY, exit now'.
- Its red ARMED light comes on. Leave by the entry door before the exit delay ends.
- On the Lynx console, holding AWAY for 2 seconds also arms if your installer has turned on quick arming.
Arm while homeyour codeSTAYyour codestay
- Close the outside doors and windows first.
- Key in your code, then press STAY. The Lynx beeps three times and says 'armed STAY, exit now'.
- Doors and windows are armed; you can move about inside.
- Anyone coming in later must disarm before the entry delay ends.
- On the Lynx console, press 0 after STAY to remove the entry delay. The original Lynx labels 0 NO DELAY.
Disarmyour codeOFFyour codeoff
- Come in by the entry door. The Lynx beeps through the entry delay.
- Key in your code, then press OFF.
- The Lynx beeps once. If no alarm occurred, its READY light comes on; a flashing READY light means a zone needs attention.
- Lynx Plus: during the entry delay, your code alone disarms it; OFF isn't needed.
Bypass a zoneyour codeBYPASS2-digit zoneyour codebypass2-digit zone
- Disarm first. Each detector or door contact is a zone; fire zones can't be bypassed.
- Key in your code, press BYPASS, then the two-digit zone number (01 for zone 1).
- The Lynx beeps and shows BYPASS with each zone number. Wait for them all.
- Arm when the Lynx's READY light is on steady. Disarming clears all bypasses.
- If your installer has set it up, code, BYPASS, then FUNCTION (the # key on the Lynx itself) bypasses every open zone.

- If the Lynx beeps fast as you come in, an alarm went off. Leave and call the police.
- Key in your code and press OFF to stop the siren.
- The Lynx's display keeps the zone number and the type of alarm, such as FIRE ALARM.
- Note the zone, then key your code and press OFF again to clear it.
- Still showing after a fire alarm? Fan the smoke detector for about 30 seconds, then clear again.
Chime on or off#CHIME
- Use the Lynx console for chime. These guides do not establish the wireless keypad sequence.
- Disarm first; chime only works while disarmed.
- Press #, then CHIME (9). No code is needed.
- CHIME shows while it is on and disappears when it is off.
- With chime on, the Lynx beeps three times and names the door as it opens.

- Your installer decides which pairs work and what each one sends.
- Press both keys of the pair at the same time.
- An audible panic sounds a loud, steady alarm, and the Lynx shows ALARM with a zone number.
- 5827: use the marked * and # pair if enabled. For 5827BD panic buttons, ask your installer.

Why is my keypad beeping or showing a trouble light?
Most keypads beep or light up a trouble indicator when something needs attention, such as a low backup battery, a power cut or a lost phone or internet connection. Your user guide explains what each light or code means on your model. If it keeps happening, or you are not sure, call your installer or monitoring company.

Is anyone watching your alarm?
An alarm that only makes a noise relies on someone hearing it. A monitored alarm reports to our A1 graded, NZSA approved control room, watched 24/7 by a team that is New Zealand owned and operated. We can monitor most existing alarms, so you may not need a new one. Thinking about a new alarm or security cameras? Ask us for a quote.
