Arm (away)your code
- Close the doors and windows. The green SECURE light (READY on some keypads) must be on, or the system will not arm.
- Key in your 4-digit code. The red ARMED light comes on. Leave before the exit delay ends.
- Three beeps means the code was not accepted. Press [#] and key it in again.
- Non-stop beeping after your code means the mains power is off, or there is a fire alarm or fire trouble. Your code quietens it.
- If your installer set up a one-key Quick Arm digit, it arms without a code. It cannot disarm.
Arm while home0
- The 300 Series calls this Entry-Guard. It works if your installer has turned it on.
- Press the Entry-Guard digit, [0] from the factory. Page 1 of your manual shows the digit used.
- After 5 seconds the ARMED light comes on, and the PARTIAL light on an LED keypad (an LCD keypad shows SYSTEM ARMED PARTIAL). Some zones are left off.
- If a watched zone trips, the keypad sounds for a set time before the siren and any report.
- To turn Entry-Guard off, key in your 4-digit code. Unless your installer changed it, the Entry-Guard digit alone works too.
Disarmyour code
- Come in through your usual entry door. The keypad gives a steady tone during the entry delay.
- Key in your code before the delay ends. The ARMED light goes off and the tone stops.
- If the ARMED light is flashing when you come in, the alarm went off while you were away.
- In that case leave straight away and call your alarm company or the police.
Bypass a zone*2-digit zone*
- Each detector or door contact is a zone. The 300 Series calls bypassing isolating.
- Disarm first. Press [*], each zone as 2 digits (01 to 32), then [*].
- For example, [*] 01 05 10 15 [*] isolates zones 1, 5, 10 and 15.
- On an LED keypad an isolated zone's light stays on; an LCD keypad shows how many zones are isolated. All go back to normal when you disarm.
Chime on or off1
- Chime works on the zones your installer has picked for it.
- Press the chime digit, [1] from the factory. Page 1 of your manual shows the digit used.
- After 5 seconds a tone confirms the change. Chime zones then give a 1-second tone when opened.
- Press the same digit again to turn chime off.
Reset smoke detectors#A#
- Key in your code to silence the fire siren. Make sure the system is disarmed before resetting.
- Press [#] to reset the smoke detectors. On an LCD keypad showing FIRE, PRESS # TO RESET, press [A] first to see the zone.
- On the 300 Series LED keypad, allow 10 seconds for the FIRE light and the smoke detector light to go out.
- On an LCD keypad, allow about 15 seconds for the reset.
- If it will not reset after the smoke has cleared, call your service company.
Panic alarm*+#
- This works if your installer has turned it on.
- Press [*] and [#] together for one second. The siren sounds.
- If your alarm is monitored, a report can also go to the monitoring centre.
- Some panic alarms are set to be silent at the premises.
- If your installer set up Manual Fire, [1]+[3] held for one second starts the fire siren.
Change a codeCuser numbermaster codenew code
- LCD keypad: use the [C] sequence below. Our manuals do not confirm code changes on the pictured 8-zone LED keypad.
- Disarm first. Press [C], the 2-digit user number (01 is the master user), the master code, then the new 4-digit code.
- Other users are 02 to 14 and 16 to 30. User 15 is kept for a duress code.
- On the DL300, your own old code can authorise the change instead of the master code, and a new code already used by someone else is rejected.
- To remove a code, enter [*] [*] [*] [*] as its new code.
Test the system1+7
- This bell test works if your installer has turned it on.
- Press [1] and [7] together. The siren or bell sounds.
- No message goes to the monitoring centre.
- Key in your code to silence it.
Trouble lights
- Keying in your code quietens a pulsing keypad. It does not arm or disarm the system.
- A phone line fault can also make the keypad beep or the siren sound, if your installer set that up.
- SECURE (or READY) light off? A zone is open: close or isolate it before arming.
- If the keypad seems stuck, press [#] to reset it. If the problem stays, call your service company.

Why is my keypad beeping or showing a trouble light?
Most keypads beep or light up a trouble indicator when something needs attention, such as a low backup battery, a power cut or a lost phone or internet connection. Your user guide explains what each light or code means on your model. If it keeps happening, or you are not sure, call your installer or monitoring company.

Is anyone watching your alarm?
An alarm that only makes a noise relies on someone hearing it. A monitored alarm reports to our A1 graded, NZSA approved control room, watched 24/7 by a team that is New Zealand owned and operated. We can monitor most existing alarms, so you may not need a new one. Thinking about a new alarm or security cameras? Ask us for a quote.
