Keypad cheat sheet

• Arm (away)your code#

  • Close doors and windows, then key in your code and press # (the key marked AWAY).
  • Two beeps: the AWAY light comes on and exit time starts. Leave before it runs out.
  • One long beep at the end of exit time means the system is set.
  • A long beep and no AWAY light means a zone is open: close it or isolate it first.
  • If your installer allows it, holding # until two beeps also arms the system.

• Arm while homeyour code*

  • Key in your code, then press * (the key marked STAY). The panel calls this STAY Mode.
  • Two beeps: the STAY light comes on. Zones your installer chose to leave off flash during exit time.
  • One short beep when exit time ends: the rest of the system is now set.
  • Solution 16, 862 and ICP-CC488 also have STAY Mode 2: hold 0 until two beeps.
  • STAY Mode 2 leaves off the zones that a master code user has picked.

• Disarmyour code#

  • Key in your code, then press # before the entry time runs out.
  • Two beeps tell you the system has disarmed.
  • On a 6+6 that was set in STAY Mode, key in your code, then * (STAY) instead.
  • A zone light flashing fast shows the zone that went into alarm while you were out.
  • Under threat, key in your code, then 9, then #. It disarms and, if monitored, sends a silent duress alarm.

• Bypass a zone**zone*then#

  • Press * twice. Three beeps and the STAY light flashes. The panel calls bypassing isolating.
  • Key in the zone number, then *. That zone's light starts flashing slowly.
  • Repeat for other zones. To undo one, key in its number and * again.
  • Press # to finish. Two beeps: the system is back to disarmed, ready to arm.
  • If your installer has set up code to isolate, start with *, your code, then * instead.

  • After you disarm, a zone light flashing fast shows the zone that went into alarm.
  • To replay the last 40 events, key in your master code, then 3, then #.
  • On an 862 or ICP-CC488, key in your master code, then 8, then # instead.
  • Three beeps, then the events show one at a time on the lights, newest first, with a beep each.

• Chime on or offhold4

  • Your installer can set zones 1 to 4 to beep the keypad while disarmed. The panel calls this day alarm.
  • Hold 4. Three beeps means day alarm is now on; two beeps means it is now off.
  • On a Solution 16, 862 or ICP-CC488, the STAY light flashes once every 3 seconds while it is on.
  • Solution 16 with v1.10 software: key in your master code, then 7, then # instead.

• Panic alarm1+3or*+#

  • Press 1 and 3 together, or * and # together. The panic alarm sounds.
  • Your installer can make it silent or switch it off.
  • Press 4 and 6 together for a fire alarm, or 7 and 9 for a medical alarm.
  • Older software (Solution 16 to v1.36, 6+6 to v1.26): 4 and 6, or 7 and 9, give a panic instead.

• Change a codemaster code1#user number#new code#

  • Key in your master code, then 1, then #. Three beeps and the STAY and AWAY lights flash.
  • Key in the user number, then #. Two beeps, and a zone light shows which user you picked.
  • Key in the new code, then #. Two beeps and the STAY and AWAY lights go out.
  • To delete that user's code instead, press * where you would key in the new code.
  • From the factory, user 1 is the master code.

• Set the date and timemaster code6#datetime#

  • Key in your master code, then 6, then #. Three beeps and the STAY and AWAY lights flash.
  • Key in day, month, year, hour and minute, two digits each, using 24-hour time.
  • For example, 5 March 2026 at 2:30 pm is 0503261430.
  • Press #. Two beeps and the lights go out. A long beep means the entry was wrong.
  • Set it again after the power has been off or when daylight saving changes.

• Trouble lightshold5

  • A new fault makes the FAULT light flash and the keypad beep once a minute.
  • Press # once to stop the beeping. The FAULT light then stays on while the fault remains.
  • To see which fault it is, hold 5 until two beeps. The zone lights show the fault type.
  • Each model has its own fault list, so check your manual. Press # to leave.

  MAINS light flashing	Mains power is off
  Zone light on	That zone is unsealed, such as a door left open
  Zone light flashing fast	That zone went into alarm
