Keypad cheat sheet

• Arm (away)your code#or1#

  • Close doors and windows. Key in your code (2 to 4 digits), then press #.
  • The keypad beeps through the exit time as a leave-now warning. The system arms when it ends.
  • The yellow S1 lamp comes on, and the lamps of the zones being armed stay lit during the exit time.
  • Flashing zone lamps with long beeps mean a zone is faulty or open. Close it; if the system still won't arm, ring your installer.
  • If your installer has turned on quick arm, 1 then # arms without a code.

• Arm while home91#

  • Scorpion calls this night mode. Only the zones set up for night arming are armed.
  • Key in 9, 1, then #. The night zones arm after a set delay.
  • If a night zone is set off, the system gives a warning before the alarm starts. Key in your code, then #, to stop it.
  • To disarm night mode, key in your code, then #.
  • With a Nitewatch station fitted, its Armed/Safe key night arms or disarms the system.

• Disarmyour code#

  • The keypad beeps during the entry time. Key in your code, then #.
  • Two beeps, and the yellow S1 lamp goes off. One long tone means a wrong code.
  • Flashing S1 and Armed lamps mean there was an alarm. Flashing zone lamps show which zones: check them against the zone list inside the keypad door.
  • Tell your installer or security company about the alarm.
  • If a Nitewatch station armed the system and something was set off, only your code and # at the keypad will disarm it.

• Bypass a zoneyour code*zone#

  • Scorpion calls this excluding a zone. Each detector or door contact is a zone.
  • Key in your code, press *, key in the number of the zone to leave out, then press #. The system arms without that zone.
  • An open zone that your installer set as not excludable still stops the system arming.

• Chime on or off71#

  • Key in 7, 1, then # to turn chime on. Do the same again to turn it off.
  • With chime on, the keypad beeps for about 5 seconds whenever a sensor is set off while the system is disarmed.

• Panic alarm*+#

  • If your installer has set it up, press * and # together for a panic alarm.
  • To cancel it, key in any valid code, then #.
  • On a Nitewatch station, press its two Emergency keys together.

• Change a codemaster code1+3new code#user number

  • Key in one of the two master codes (your installer set them up), then press 1 and 3 together. Two beeps.
  • Key in the new code (2 to 4 digits), then press #. One beep.
  • Key in the number of the user to add or change (1 to 10). Two beeps mean it worked; one long beep means it didn't.
  • To remove a user, press # without a new code, then key in the user number.

• Trouble lights83#

  • The yellow S1 lamp flashes after an alarm, a system fault or a panic.
  • Key in 8, 3, then # to find the cause of an alarm that isn't from a zone. A zone lamp flashes to show it (see the table).
  • The Mains lamp flashes after a mains failure or with a low battery. It stops once fixed and the system has been armed and disarmed.
  • The Armed lamp also flashes after an alarm, a mains failure or a low battery.
