Keypad cheat sheet

• Arm (away)

  • Start with the menu. Enter your PIN then OK; with Fixed length enabled, press OK before your PIN.
  • If shortcuts show, press C until the menu appears. Pick Arm/Disarm op. with up/down, then OK.
  • Choose an area (partition) with the left and right arrows, and Away with the up and down arrows. Set any other areas, then press OK.
  • If a zone is open, the keypad lists it first. Close it: arming anyway sets off an instant alarm from that zone.
  • Unless exit beeps are turned off, the keypad repeats 3 beeps and a 5-second pause through the exit time, 4 beeps in the last 20 seconds. Armed areas show A.

  Your PIN, then OK	Opens the user menu (OK first, then the PIN, for a Fixed length code)
  Arm/Disarm op.	Pick it with the up and down arrows, then OK
  Area, then Away	Left and right arrows pick the area, up and down pick Away, then OK

• Arm while home

  • Start with the menu. Enter your PIN then OK; with Fixed length enabled, press OK before your PIN.
  • If shortcuts show, press C until the menu appears. Pick Arm/Disarm op. with the up and down arrows, then press OK.
  • Choose an area with left/right, pick Stay with up/down, then OK. Stay arms perimeter zones; the area shows S.
  • If offered, Instant arms the same zones with no entry delay. An opened door alarms at once; the area shows I.

• Disarmyour code

  • Come in by your usual entry door. Unless entry beeps are turned off, the keypad repeats 8 beeps and a 5-second pause while the entry time runs.
  • While the entry time runs, keying in your PIN disarms the areas your code and this keypad share straight away.
  • Otherwise, open the menu. Enter your PIN then OK; with Fixed length enabled, press OK before your PIN.
  • If shortcuts show, press C until the menu appears. Pick Arm/Disarm op. and press OK. Set each area to Disarm with the arrows, then OK.
  • A disarmed area shows D on the display.

• Bypass a zone

  • Start with the menu. Enter your PIN then OK; with Fixed length enabled, press OK before your PIN.
  • If shortcuts show, press C until the menu appears. Pick Activations with up/down and OK, then Zones and OK.
  • Pick the zone with up/down and press OK.
  • Press # to bypass it so it cannot cause an alarm. Press * to put it back.
  • The yellow triangle light flashes while a zone is bypassed.

  Activations, then Zones	Pick each with the up and down arrows, then OK

• Alarm memory

  • Start with the menu. Enter your PIN then OK; with Fixed length enabled, press OK before your PIN.
  • After an alarm, the red padlock flashes and the top display line cycles through the affected zones.
  • If shortcuts show, press C for the menu. Pick View and OK, then Alarms log and OK. Scroll with up/down.
  • To clear memory, pick Manage alarms and OK, then DeleteAlarm mem. and OK. This also stops the sirens.
  • Stop alarms, in the same list, silences the sirens and keeps the memory.

• Panic alarmholdF1+F4

  • For police, hold F1 and F4 together for 3 seconds, and wait for the beep that confirms it.
  • For fire, hold F1 and F2 together; for an ambulance, F1 and F3. Hold each pair for 3 seconds.
  • The keypad lights and display don't show it. What happens next, such as sirens or calls to your monitoring company, depends on your installer's setup.

• Change a code

  • Start with the menu. Enter your PIN then OK; with Fixed length enabled, press OK before your PIN.
  • If shortcuts show, press C until the menu appears. Pick Change PIN with the up and down arrows, then press OK.
  • Pick the code to change with the arrows and press OK: your own, or one ranked below yours.
  • Key in the new PIN (4, 5 or 6 digits) and press OK. Key it in again and press OK to save.
  • Change the first user code from its factory setting to your own PIN straight away.

• Set the date and time

  • Start with the menu. Enter your PIN then OK; with Fixed length enabled, press OK before your PIN.
  • If shortcuts show, press C until the menu appears. Pick Set date/time with the up and down arrows, then press OK.
  • Move between the hour, minute and date fields with the left and right arrows.
  • Change the selected field with the up and down arrows.
  • Press OK to save.

• Trouble lights

  • Start with the menu. Enter your PIN then OK; with Fixed length enabled, press OK before your PIN.
  • If shortcuts show, press C until the menu appears. Pick View and press OK, then Faults and OK. The table explains the four lights and common fault messages.
  • The keypad beeps through entry, exit and pre-arm times. One beep every 5 seconds counts down to an automatic arming.
  • Mains failure means the panel's mains supply has failed or been disconnected. Call your installer about faults you can't fix.

  Red padlock on	At least one area is armed
  Red padlock flashing	An alarm or tamper is in memory
  Yellow triangle on	There is a fault: look under View, Faults
  Blue tick on	Every zone is closed: ready to arm
  Blue tick off	A zone is open
  Green lightning off	Mains power has failed
  Low battery (under Faults)	The panel's backup battery is nearly flat or disconnected
  Tel. line down (under Faults)	Fault on the phone line
