  • Arm (away)
    • For button keypads (HS2TCHPRO: ask your installer). Close all doors and windows. The Ready light (tick) must be on before you can arm.
    • HS2LCDPRO: hold the empty-house key for 2 seconds. Enter your code or show your tag if asked.
    • Or press [*][0] to quick arm, if your installer has turned it on.
    • The Armed light comes on and the keypad beeps six times, then once a second, faster for the last 10 seconds.
    • When the exit time ends, Ready goes out and the keypad goes quiet. Your code during the exit time cancels arming.

    • For button keypads (HS2TCHPRO: ask your installer). PowerSeries Pro calls this Stay: doors and windows are armed and the inside detectors are bypassed.
    • With Ready on, hold the house-with-person key for 2 seconds. Enter your code if asked, and stay inside.
    • The Armed light comes on and the exit time runs without warning beeps.
    • [*][9], and your code if asked, arms in Stay with no entry delay: opening a door or window sets the alarm off at once.
    • Going to bed? Once in Stay, press [*][1], and your code if asked, for Night mode. Only the zones your installer made Night zones stay off.

    • Wrong code? A 2-second error tone sounds. Press [#] and key it in again.
    • Burglar alarm by mistake? Key in your code. Within 30 seconds (or your installer's setting) the alarm report is not sent.
    • Then ring your monitoring company so no one is sent out.

    • For button keypads (HS2TCHPRO: ask your installer). Each detector or door contact is a zone. A bypassed zone can't set off the alarm.
    • With the system disarmed, press [*][1]. Key in your code if the keypad asks.
    • Key in the zone as 3 digits (005 for zone 5), or scroll to it and press [*]. An LCD shows B. Do it again to undo.
    • [9][9][8] bypasses every open zone, [9][9][9] brings back your last bypasses and [0][0][0] clears them all.
    • Press [#] to go back to Ready. Disarming ends bypasses, except on 24-hour zones. Some zones, such as smoke detectors, may be blocked.

Why is my keypad beeping or showing a trouble light?

Most keypads beep or light up a trouble indicator when something needs attention, such as a low backup battery, a power cut or a lost phone or internet connection. Your user guide explains what each light or code means on your model. If it keeps happening, or you are not sure, call your installer or monitoring company.

Is anyone watching your alarm?

An alarm that only makes a noise relies on someone hearing it. A monitored alarm reports to our A1 graded, NZSA approved control room, watched 24/7 by a team that is New Zealand owned and operated. We can monitor most existing alarms, so you may not need a new one. Thinking about a new alarm or security cameras? Ask us for a quote.
